The Hutch Data Commonwealth (HDC) is a transformative initiative that brings novel big data resources and analytics to the fingertips of all Hutch investigators. Data engineering, data wrangling, visualization, warehousing, and analytics are skills needed across the data spectrum and the HDC aims to make these capabilities available and accessible. More than a service organization or shared resource, HDC is a scientific infrastructure partner that generates new ideas for projects and opportunities and expands the scope of Hutch research.
Here you will find more detailed insight on how the HDC is bringing the aforementioned capabilities and accessibility to all Hutch Investigators. You will find information such as: our current projects, emerging products, our people and teams, as well as a list of tools that you can use today.
The HDC was initiated in August 2016 through the efforts of an Inaugural Scientific Committee (including Ruth Etzioni, Chair, and Matthew Trunnell, Chief Information Officer and Admin VP of Center IT.)
