The Halloran Group conducts research on study designs and analytic methods for evaluating vaccines in populations. Research includes developing new methods as well as applying existing methods to novel applications. We are interested in the effects of vaccines beyond the direct protective effects, including the indirect and overall effects of vaccination programs. We use a variety of analytic methods to understand these effects. Increasingly, we are also interested in the interaction of immune pressure of vaccination and evolution of the pathogens. The Halloran group has many national and international collaborators.
