HEIMFELD LAB -- Donor Program

Donor Program

The Heimfeld Lab currently has an active protocol which allows one to participate as a Donor of Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells to provide cells for laboratory research studies.

We are seeking normal healthy volunteers 18 to 70 years of age to provide Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMC) for research.  After donation, participants will receive compensation for their time and inconvenience:

Donations are by appointment only and as needed from the research labs. Compensation is $300 for Non-Mobilized donation and $800 for Mobilized donation

You will not be allowed to donate if you have:

  • donated blood within the last 72 hours
  • symptoms of an infection including a "cold"
  • undergone leukapheresis within the past 3 weeks
  • are pregnant
  • are less than 18 or greater than 70 years of age
